                      Services

Dedicated urgent care team members diagnose and treat minor illness and injuries, and as part of the [Hospital Name] system, you can be referred to a primary care provider or specialist if follow-up care is needed.

                      Diagnosing and Treating Illness

When illness strikes, you want care that's both fast and effective. Our experienced clinical team will assess your symptoms, provide a thorough evaluation, and create a personalized treatment plan to help you feel better quickly.

Colds, flu and respiratory infections Colds, flu and respiratory infections are common illnesses that can cause discomfort, fatigue, coughing, congestion, or difficulty breathing. While many of these conditions are mild, symptoms can interfere with daily activities. [Name] providers can evaluate your symptoms, prescribe medications if needed, and help prevent symptoms from getting worse, allowing you to recover so that you can return to normal activities faster. Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea are common and have many causes. While mild cases can be managed at home, these symptoms may quickly lead to dehydration and weakness. Persistent or severe cases may require medical attention, and our urgent care providers can provide prompt evaluation, hydration support and medications to provide relief. Headaches and migraines Headaches can be frustrating when they are mild, but severe headaches and migraines can cause symptoms including nausea, sensitivity to light or sound, and difficulty concentrating. When pain is intense, persistent, or different from what you usually experience, medical evaluation is important to rule out serious causes. [Name] offers quick access to experienced providers who can assess symptoms, help with pain relief and recommend next steps if needed. Ear and eye infections Ear and eye infections can cause pain, redness, swelling, discharge, and changes in hearing or vision that may get worse if left untreated. These infections can affect both children and adults and often require timely evaluation to prevent complications. [Name] offers quick diagnosis, appropriate medications such as antibiotics or eye drops and home-care instructions if needed. Skin conditions and rashes Skin conditions, including rashes, can be attributed to allergic reactions, infections, irritants, or a virus like shingles. Skin issues can cause itching, redness, swelling, or discomfort. While some rashes resolve on their own, others can spread or become infected without proper care. Choosing [Name] Urgent Care allows for timely evaluation and treatment, including prescription medications or topical therapies, helping relieve symptoms quickly. Mild allergic reactions Mild allergic reaction symptoms include sneezing, itching, hives, swelling or watery eyes. Causes can include exposure to foods, medications, insect stings, or things in your environment. While mild reactions are not usually life-threatening, symptoms can become uncomfortable or worsen without treatment. Our urgent care team can provide prompt evaluation and relief, offering medications and guidance to control symptoms quickly. If symptoms are more severe, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Bladder and urinary tract infections Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are common, especially among women. UTI symptoms often include a frequent urge to urinate, a burning sensation during urination, and cloudy or strong-smelling urine. This condition may be painful, disrupt daily routines and, if left untreated, can lead to more serious health issues. However, we offer quick and effective treatment to help relieve symptoms and prevent complications related to the kidneys, bladder and urethra. Mild abdominal pain Mild abdominal pain can be caused by indigestion, constipation, minor infections or muscle strain, and may come with bloating, cramping, or discomfort. While often not serious, ongoing or worsening pain should be evaluated to rule out underlying problems. We can help you address concerns quickly, with symptom relief and guidance on any next steps. If you are experiencing severe abdominal pain, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room

                      Diagnosing and Treating Injuries

Accidents can happen at any time, and when they do, we're here to help. Our team is trained to quickly diagnose and treat injuries, helping you recover safely and get back to your daily activities.

Sprains, strains and fractures Sprains, strains and fractures are common injuries that can cause pain, swelling, bruising, and limited mobility. While minor sprains or strains often heal with rest, more significant injuries can worsen without proper evaluation and treatment. The compassionate team at [Name] can assess your injury, including physical exams and imaging if needed, and provide treatment such as splinting, bracing and pain management. Cuts, bites and bruises Cuts, bites and bruises are common injuries occurring during everyday activities. Deep cuts, animal or insect bites, and painful or rapidly swelling bruises can become infected without proper care. Our urgent care providers clean, evaluate, and treat these injuries with stitches, wound care, or antibiotics if needed. Minor burns Minor burns, which can cause redness, pain, and minor blistering, often result from spilling hot liquids or touching hot surfaces like stoves or hair stylers. While these burns are not usually severe, proper evaluation and care are important to reduce pain, prevent infection, and promote healing. Jellyfish or stingray stings Jellyfish and stingray stings can cause immediate pain, redness, swelling and, in some cases, allergic reactions or infection. Stings that are extremely painful, widespread, or accompanied by unusual symptoms should be seen by a medical professional for proper evaluation, pain relief, wound cleaning, and treatment to reduce the risk of infection.

Where to go? Emergency Room, Urgent Care or Primary Care Office?

Choosing the level of care you need when you are sick or injured isn’t always clear. Understanding the types of services provided in emergency rooms, at urgent care centers, and at your doctor’s office can help you decide where to go.

                      Emergency Rooms

                      Emergency Rooms

If you feel you have a medical emergency, call 911.

Medical emergencies are life-threatening, alarming situations that need immediate attention in a hospital setting. Examples include but are not limited to:

                      • Heart attack symptoms
                      • Stroke symptoms
                      • Trouble breathing
                      • Severe allergic reaction
                      • Severe abdominal pain
                      • Uncontrollable bleeding
                      • High and uncontrollable fever
                      • Uncontrollable vomiting

                      • Severe headache
                      • Head trauma
                      • Overdose
                      • Electric shock
                      • First-time seizure
                      • Vaginal bleeding and/or abdominal pain during pregnancy

If you're unsure, listen to your body, and consider how severe your symptoms are. If you believe it’s an emergency, call 911 or go to the ER.

                      Urgent Care Centers

                      Urgent Care Centers

Like ERs, urgent care centers often are available when your regular doctor’s office is not. And, like ERs, urgent care centers typically offer on-site X-ray and lab services. However, they are not staffed or equipped to provide care for emergencies like those listed above.

Use urgent care when you need treatment quickly but know your situation is not a medical emergency. Examples of urgent medical needs include but are not limited to:

                      • Sprains and strains
                      • Low-grade fever
                      • Colds and general allergy symptoms
                      • Mild flu (no emergency symptoms)
                      • Sore throat
                      • Sinus and ear pain
                      • Minor infection
                      • Minor cuts needing stitches
                      • Painful urination
                      • Minor rash
                      Primary Care Offices

                      Primary Care Offices

Your primary care provider wants to know you and your medical history to help coordinate your care – unlike a single visit to an ER or urgent care center. So, if your medical situation is not life-threatening, and if you do not need immediate care, make an appointment to see a primary care provider. That doesn’t mean you have to wait long. Many of our PCPs offer same-day appointments and welcome walk-ins.
