Lower Keys Medical Center Announces Leadership Change

Key West, Fla. - July 15, 2016 - Lower Keys Medical Center announced today that Chief Executive Officer Nicki Will has resigned, effective immediately. Will has served as CEO of the hospital since 2003. Many notable accomplishments have occurred during her tenure, including facility improvements and recruitment of new physicians to the community. The hospital is grateful for her leadership over the past 13 years.
"It has been my honor to serve as CEO of Lower Keys Medical Center and work with the incredibly talented and passionate teams who provide care to our community," said Nicki Will. "The hospital is a vital, valuable asset to the Lower Keys community and I am confident that the board, medical staff, and dedicated employees will continue to move the hospital forward for the benefit of our island community."
Chief of Staff Michael Mcivor, M.D. said, "Over the years, Nicki has provided good leadership for our hospital and been an active member of our community. We wish her well in her future pursuits and thank her for many contributions to our success."
Chief Operating Officer John Emery will serve as senior administrative officer of the hospital until an interim CEO is named. The search for a permanent new CEO will begin immediately and the selection process will involve the hospital's Board of Trustees and medical staff leadership.
