Lower Keys Medical Center Expands Heart Care Services And Welcomes Interventional Cardiologist

Key West, FL – Lower Keys Medical Center is pleased to announce the opening of the cardiac catheterization laboratory to diagnose and treat patients with stenosis or abnormalities of the heart. This service makes more advanced care and services available for residents of the Florida Keys and builds upon the hospital’s recent accreditation by the American College of Cardiology as a Chest Pain Center.
The hospital is also welcoming Steven K. Rowe, M.D., a board-certified and fellowship-trained Interventional Cardiologist. Dr. Rowe will perform cardiac catheterizations at Lower Keys Medical Center and has joined the multi-specialty medical practice of Keys Medical Group. Lower Keys Medical Center CEO, David Clay, said, “We welcome Dr. Rowe to our hospital, medical staff, and community. Our priorities have been to continue to enhance our quality of care and expand our service lines so that Keys residents can receive as much care as possible within their community. Dr. Rowe’s arrival will allow more of our cardiac patients to receive care close to home.”
Dr. Rowe has more than 30 years of experience and has performed more than 20,000 procedures. He completed his medical education and residency at the University of Missouri in Columbia, and his fellowship at Baylor University School of Medicine in Houston, TX. Dr. Rowe is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and interventional cardiology.
