Lower Keys Medical Center Recognizes Employee of the Year

Key West, FL – January 21, 2019 – In December, Lower Keys Medical Center recognized the 2018 Employee of the Year, Cassie Concepcion, Administrative Assistant and Technician in Behavioral Health Services. Cassie was presented with the Employee of the Year Award by David Clay, CEO, who read comments from co-workers who nominated her for her exemplary attitude, responsiveness, and willingness to assist any colleague, from any department, any time there is a need.

Cassie began her career at Lower Keys Medical Center as a Behavioral Health Technician in July of 2016. Her prior background enabled her to cross-train in administrative duties and in 2017, after Hurricane Irma, she became the Administrative Assistant. With the 12-bed expansion of Behavioral Health Services, Cassie took on additional responsibilities. Her role includes providing training and education for staff annual recertification and orientation for new employees, inventory management, chart review, and communication within and between departments.

Cassie is an active supporter of the hospital’s community involvement, including the American Cancer Society and the hospital’s Relay for Life team.
