Cancer Center Director Named for Grandview Medical Center

Birmingham, AL (May 23, 2018) --- Jennifer F. De Los Santos, MD, has been named Cancer Center Director for Grandview Medical Center.
Dr. De Los Santos is a nationally renowned radiation oncologist whose research in breast cancer treatment has gained international attention. Prior to joining the medical staff at Grandview, Dr. De Los Santos was an associate scientist and professor at the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB) in the department of radiation oncology. From 2005 until 2018, she served as medical director of The Kirklin Clinic at Acton Road in Birmingham. For five years in a row, she has been recognized as one of the Best Doctors in America.

Having someone with Dr. De Los Santos’ credentials and background will benefit not only our cancer program but the patients we serve,” said Drew Mason, Chief Executive Officer, Grandview Medical Center. “Her expertise and commitment to advancing cancer treatment and research will continue to make an impact in our community.”
Dr. De Los Santos earned her bachelor's degree from Emory University and her medical degree from the University of Florida. She completed her internship at the University of Texas, Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital and her residency at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center.
