GERD: Diagnosis & Advanced Treatment Options - Free Community Lunch & Learn

Birmingham, AL (July 2, 2019) --- Grandview Medical Center will host a free lunch and learn on “GERD: Diagnosis & Advanced Treatment Options” with guest speaker John Touliatos, MD, FACS, general surgeon with Advanced Surgeons, P.C.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is caused by a weak valve that allows acid, bile and stomach contents to flow back from the stomach into the esophagus, creating heartburn and often causing damage to the lining of the esophagus. Dr. Touliatos will discuss common symptoms, long-term effects of GERD, and latest treatment options.

The Lunch & Learn will take place Thursday, July 18, 2019, from Noon- 1 pm, at Grandview Medical Center. The program is free and open to the public.
