Grandview Medical Center Hosts Lunch & Learn - “What You Need to Know About Colon Cancer”

Birmingham, AL (March 5, 2019) --- Grandview Medical Center will host a free lunch and learn on “What You Need to Know about Colon Cancer: Symptoms, Early Detection, Prevention and Treatment.” Guest speakers will be medical oncologists Benjamin Jones, MD, and Christopher Wang, MD, both with Alabama Oncology.

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among men and women combined in the United States. One in three people are not up-to-date with colorectal screening, yet 60 percent of colorectal cancer deaths could be prevented with screening.

The Lunch & Learn will take place on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at Grandview Medical Center. Lunch will begin at 11:30 followed by the speaker at Noon. The program is free and open to the public.
