Corretta C. Woodard, LPC, named executive director of behavioral health services at Northwest Health

Northwest Health has named Corretta C. Woodard, LPC, as executive director of behavioral health services.
“With extensive experience in mental health services and a proven track record of leadership, Corretta will enhance our efforts to provide exceptional care and support to our community,” said Northwest Health Chief Executive Officer Rick Naegler. “In her new role, Corretta will oversee operations within the behavioral health unit, ensuring that the team continues to deliver quality and compassionate care to those in need. We are confident that her expertise and dedication will lead us to new heights.”
Woodard, a native Arkansan, founded and owned The People Place Counseling Center before becoming part of Northwest Health. With more than a decade of mental health experience, including roles at The UP Center, Absolute Pediatric, The University of Arkansas, Burrell Behavioral Health and Elevance Health, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Northwest Health team.
Additionally, we are honored to have someone with her distinguished background, as she has served eight years in the U.S. Navy, Naegler said.
Woodard earned her Master of Arts in clinical mental health counseling at South University in Virginia Beach, Va., and earned her Bachelor of Science and Associate of Science in business administration at Strayer University in Chesapeake, Va.
