Free program gives inpatients access to their health information
1/20/2015
Siloam Springs Regional Hospital (SSRH) has launched a new service to give inpatients access to their health information from the comfort of their own home, or while they’re on the go.
The new Patient Portal gives SSRH inpatients access to their medical records regarding their inpatient stay at the hospital including medications, diagnosis, discharge instructions, lab tests and more. Information from your hospital stay usually is available 36 hours after you are discharged.
Registration for a Portal account is quick and easy, and begins at the hospital. Ask a staff member or stop by registration to get signed up. You will need to show your photo ID and share your email address. Then you will receive an email with a link to the Portal so you can finalize your account setup.
From any device with Internet access (phone, tablet, laptop, etc.), the inpatient may log into their Portal account. Parents and caregivers also will be able to access these features on behalf of their children or other dependents, once authorization is complete. Only the patient, and those the patient authorizes, may access the account.
Information in the Portal account is private, secure and protected. There are multiple safeguards in place for security. Information in the Portal is kept confidential. SSRH will not share, sell or lease your personal information with any outside party not affiliated with our organization.
The Portal has user-friendly navigation with help sections available if needed. When information is added to your account, SSRH will send an e-mail. Once the account is set-up, be sure to log in regularly to view, download and update your information.
For more information about this new service, please call the hospital at (479) 215-3000.
