Juli McWhorter named Chief Executive Officer at Northwest Medical Center – Bentonville

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (July 9, 2025) – Northwest Health announced Juli McWhorter, RN, BSN, MSN, has accepted the position of chief executive officer (CEO) at Northwest Medical Center – Bentonville. Together, she and Northwest Medical Center – Springdale CEO Kory Browning will coordinate the Northwest Health market in Northwest Arkansas.
McWhorter previously served as CEO at Northwest Medical Center – Willow Creek Women’s Hospital (WCWH) and Northwest Health Physicians’ Specialty Hospital (NWHPSH). With a career spanning 30 years at Northwest Health, McWhorter also led WCWH as chief administrative officer, chief operating officer and chief nursing officer.
Under her leadership, WCWH has been the first in the nation to be named a Center of Excellence for Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC), first in the state to achieve Baby-Friendly designation, first in the state to earn The Joint Commission’s Perinatal Care Certification, named a Blue Center of Distinction for Maternal Care and named 2022 Human Experience (HX) Guardian of Excellence Award® winner by Press Ganey.
During her tenure, McWhorter has focused on quality and patient experience increasing the hospitals’ Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) patient experience scores to the top 10% in the nation and improved the hospital reputation ratings consistently for the past six years, raising from 3.0 to 4.7 stars. And, for the past five years, Willow Creek was voted the Gold Winner in the “Best Place to Have a Baby” category in the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette’s Best of Northwest Arkansas publication.
McWhorter is involved with the March of Dimes organization, currently serves on the board of Dress for Success NWA and was a three-time Susan G. Komen BigWig, holding the title of largest fundraiser for two consecutive years. She has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Western Governors University.
