Michael Herr announced as CAO of Northwest Health Physicians’ Specialty Hospital

SPRINGDALE, ARK (November 21, 2018) — Michael Herr has accepted the position of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for Northwest Health Physicians’ Specialty Hospital (PSH), effective December 10, according to Denten Park, Market Chief Executive Officer for Northwest Health. Herr comes to Northwest Arkansas from Starr Regional Medical Center – with facilities in Athens and Etowah, TN – where he has served as COO since 2015.
With approximately 14 years of experience in leadership roles, Herr previously worked with Parkview Regional Medical Center in Mexia, TX, where he was CFO and then COO. Before that, he served as Controller at Valley View Medical Center in Fort Mohave, AZ, and at Lea Regional Medical Center in Hobbs, NM.
“Michael has a unique set of skills and experiences that will be of value for Physicians’ Specialty Hospital,” Park said. “His passion for service will help further enhance our relationships with our patients, employees and physicians. Additionally, our community involvement will be increased as he will be dedicated to this campus, bringing added resources to our Northwest Health system.”

Herr earned a bachelor’s of science degree, majoring in accounting, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He earned an MBA in health care administration from the University of Texas.
A member of Rotary Club, Herr has held leadership positions with United Way and the YMCA. He will be moving to the Fayetteville area with his wife, Alicia, and their two children.
