Neurosurgeon Mark A. Gardon, M.D., FAANS, joins Northwest Health

Mark A. Gardon, M.D., FAANS, board certified neurosurgeon, recently joined the active medical staff of Northwest Health, practicing at The Neurosurgery Center at Northwest Health. The center is located at 601 W. Maple Ave., Suite 505 in Springdale, and he is currently accepting new patients.
In practice for more than 20 years, Dr. Gardon comes to Northwest Health from Green Bay, Wis. where he has been in practice at Aurora Baycare Medical Center.
Dr. Gardon is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. His subspecialties include spine surgery, brain surgery, neurotrauma and peripheral nerve surgery. His clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery, spinal reconstruction, fusion procedures, and surgical release of compressed nerves in the extremities and treatment of treatment of congenital abnormalities, such as spina bifida hydrocephalus.
He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, North American Spine Society and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. He also serves as a consultant to members of the National Football League.
Dr. Gardon earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wis. and completed his general surgery internship and residency in neurological surgery at hospitals affiliated with the Medical College of Wisconsin.
