10/24/2023
JOHNSON, Ark. (Oct. 24, 2023) – Willow Creek Women’s Hospital is hosting a night of fun, fundraising and awareness with a ’70s-themed Pink Night event from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at Northwest Breast Imaging Center at Willow Creek, 5501 Willow Creek Drive, Suite 103, in Springdale. The event is free for the public to attend and will feature a DJ, vendors, silent auction and a ’70s “Staying Alive” theme for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“Pink Night is an opportunity to bring the community together to raise awareness of breast cancer through prevention, diagnosis and treatment,” according to Dedra Walters, breast care nurse navigator at Northwest Breast Imaging Center at Willow Creek.
The community is invited to attend and additional guests include physicians, health care workers, breast cancer survivors and their families who have made the journey through a cancer diagnosis.
The fundraiser portion of the event is to support Hope Cancer Resources which provides many resources including transportation to take patients to every cancer treatment as needed, financial assistance for prescription medications, nutritional supplements, dental care, gas cards, living expenses, counseling services, education and more.
“We’re privileged to work alongside a group of amazing doctors, health care professionals and organizations such as Hope Cancer Resources to provide excellent care and compassion for patients in Northwest Arkansas,” Walters said.
She also stressed that early detection is key in the battle against breast cancer.
“Regular screenings can help find and treat pre-cancers and cancers early, before they have a chance to spread,” she said.
