Patients & Visitors
Current Visitor Guidelines
We ask for your assistance in supporting your loved oneís recovery by limiting visitation.
If you have:
- Traveled from a high-risk area for COVID-19
- Contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19
- Cough, fever or difficulty breathing
PATIENTS - Tell staff immediately.
VISITORS - Delay your visit.
The safety of patients, visitors and our healthcare team members is critical to our delivery of quality medical care. When in the hospital for treatment, the best interest of our patients is to minimize unnecessary exposure to infectious or communicable diseases.
Only well, essential visitors such as immediate family, partner or significant other ages 18 and older may visit patients. The limit of visitors is two at a time. Patients in isolation will have additional visitor restrictions.
If you are experiencing a fever or have respiratory or flu-like symptoms such as cough, running nose, sore throat, chills or muscle aches, postpone your visit unless you are coming to the hospital for medical care.
People who have traveled to a high-risk area for COVID-19 or had contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19 are not permitted to visit patients.
All visitors are asked to practice infection prevention.
- Sanitize your hands when entering the hospital and when entering or exiting patient rooms.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with your elbow or a tissue; dispose of used tissues in the trash.
- Sanitize your hands after coughing or sneezing.
If you would like to drop off a card, gift or other message of encouragement, we are happy to deliver those to patients. You may also call a patientís room so they can hear your voice and you can hear how they are doing. The hospital has free Wi-Fi, so you may visit patients using Facetime or another video communication app.
We appreciate your understanding and compliance. With your help, we can maintain a safe environment for all our patients, visitors, and staff.
The new Grandview Medical Center features an expansive campus with larger floors to enable our medical staff to provide the best patient care possible. To help you navigate, we've implemented digital wayfinding throughout the campus to guide you from the parking garage to the lobby elevators, café and throughout the floors of the medical center.
Whether you're preparing for a hospital stay or stopping by to see friends and family, knowing where to go and what to bring will help make your visit less stressful.
