New CEO of Hospital Named

Page Vaughan has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of Springs Memorial Hospital effective September 1st. In addition to being the new CEO of Springs, he will continue to provide oversight of Chester Regional Medical Center, a position he has held since 2011.
Vaughan is an experienced leader who has focused on employee, physician and patient satisfaction and operational excellence over his 30 years in hospital administration. He has worked through many issues, cultivated strong working relationships with medical staffs and knows the region and state political scene through his service as CEO and administrative leader at hospitals in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Oklahoma in division executive positions with HMA.
During Vaughan’s tenure as CEO at Chester Regional Regional Medical Center, Chester Regional has achieved numerous quality and safety recognitions including five South Carolina Hospital Association Zero Harm Awards in 2016, Joint Commission Top Performer in Congestive Heart Failure and pneumonia and the U.S. Department of Defense Patriotic Employer Award.

Mr. Vaughan’s extensive experience and decorated background will ensure we will be working with a true professional who has the qualifications to continue the excellent work of our former CEO, Mrs. Janice Dabney. Page is a step in the right direction for the future of Springs Memorial Hospital.”
Vaughan earned his master’s degree in Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg.
Community and industry engagement has been important to this seasoned healthcare professional throughout his career and he plans to become very involved in Lancaster County activities. He’s a Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow, participated in hospital associations in North and South Carolina, Georgia and Oklahoma and served as a director for the Chester Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development boards. He looks forward to being a strong advocate for Springs Memorial Hospital and sharing the great things being done at our hospital.
Page and his wife Jane are the parents of two adult children, a daughter, who works for Public TV and son who works in the information technology field.
