Sleep Medicine
More than 70 million Americans suffer from sleep disorders. Sleep is essential for physical and mental renewal, and long-term sleep difficulties can lead to serious medical problems. Springs Memorial Hospital's sleep medicine doctors, sleep technologists and other clinicians are dedicated to helping you get a good night’s sleep. We offer diagnostic and treatment services for a wide range of sleep disorders.
Our dedicated sleep lab offers private rooms, with a home-like setting and queen sized beds. We perform polysomnographies (sleep studies) with and without CPAP/BiPap and Multiple Sleep Latency Testing (MSLT). Sleep studies are performed at night, monitoring multiple functions like brain activity, eye movement, respiratory effort, muscle activity, heart rate, and oxygen levels. The MSLT is performed during the day and measures how fast you go to sleep when you should normally be awake.
