About Our Services
Cancer Registry
The cancer registry is a system designed for the collection, management and analysis of data about people diagnosed with cancer. The goal is to assist the medical profession in promoting quality care for patients with specific types of cancer. The primary purpose of the cancer registry is to provide lifetime follow-up on all registry patients. In all cases, confidentiality is maintained and names are never used.
Cancer Care Team
The medical team at Grandview Cancer Center consists of two full-time radiation oncologist, a physicist, a dosimetrist, radiation therapists and partnerships with the area’s medical oncologists, internal medicine physicians, radiologists, gynecologists, pathologists, general surgeons and family physicians. The caring nursing staff is on-call 24 hours a day for a continuum of care for patients. Because each cancer patient presents a unique and specific set of needs, treatment plans for the patients are customized to give every patient specialized and individualized care.
Cancer Conferences
Cancer doesn’t stop - neither do our specialists. Weekly cancer conferences help physicians and staff connect and discuss all parts of cancer care, including diagnosis, treatment options and follow-ups. These conferences bring together professionals from each part of our hospital, from internal medicine and nursing to radiation oncology, surgery and other specialists. It is an opportunity for professionals to explore new ideas, discover new research and put their heads together to improve treatment for patients.
