Pre-Op Total Joint Education Class
Once your doctor has determined that you are a candidate for joint replacement surgery, you will be asked to attend Pre-Op Total Joint Education Class. Total Joint Education Classes are held every Monday - Friday at 9 a.m. (excluding major holidays) at Grandview Medical Center.
The Pre-op Total Joint Education Class will cover information on what to expect before and after surgery, including required exercise, safety precautions and pain management. The class is conducted by an orthopedic certified nurse (ONC). All classes are held in the classroom on the 6th floor of the hospital.
As a participant in the Pre-op Total Joint Education Class, you will receive a complimentary meal ticket for you and your guest, as well as free valet parking. You are encouraged to use the hospital's valet parking (located in front of the hospital) for ease of access. Following class, there will be time for you to go to registration and pre-admission testing.
