Inpatient Rehabilitation
Easy Street is a 17-bed, inpatient rehabilitation unit located on the 10th floor of Grandview Medical Center.
The Easy Street team specializes in medical treatment and rehabilitation of people who have experienced a life-changing injury, illness or surgery. The goal of the staff is to help you regain enough functional improvement and independence to allow you to be safely discharged from the unit to a community setting and resume as many daily activities as possible. This goal is accomplished by providing interdisciplinary therapies for three hours per day at least five days per week.
The rehab team consists of nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and a social worker under the guidance of a specialized rehab physician called a physiatrist. If needed, other physicians can be consulted and may see you on the unit. Family and caregivers are important members of the team and are encouraged to participate during the rehab stay. Our goal is to help you and your family to be as prepared as possible to make a smooth transition from our unit back to your home. The average length of stay for our patients is 10-14 days and admission in based on approval of your insurance provider.
